LB1914 4wd
I am a 66 year old teacher. I have a 28' x 60' shop and a 32' x 72' shed. From these I have built 12 houses, trailers, hog traps, rebuilt cars, trucks and anything else that comes my way. I have a new to me LB 1914 4wd tractor and I am at a standstill. Before I run any equipment, I go over it. I pulled the dip stick and the oil was way passed the last marks on the dipstick. The mechanic was on vacation from my local Kioti dealer so I emailed Kioti USA. Kioti USA said Daedong list 3.3 qts. for the 1914. I was able to finally clean the hatch lid on the tractor a few days later and it says 4.5 qts. on the inside of the lid. I changed the oil and filter just to be sure and the oil comes up to where it was way past the last mark. I have seen engines blow the back seal and beat out the bearings because it had to much oil. I have seen engines melt because of lack of oil. I don't know if it has the right dipstick or hatch lid, so here is the important question. Is it 3.3 or 4.5 qts for the engine?
Thanks for the education, I have enjoyed reading your threads.
