Been doing a lot of looking for used planters and got sick of looking at overpriced junk so I bought this lightly used new set from the dealer. They had them laying around for a few years and one of the employees had used them to plant a dove field once. Picked them up yesterday afternoon and spent this AM cleaning them up and dialing them in.

Thats a simple looking design and a good fit for your Kubota. What brand is it and does it have metal interchangeable plates for different seeds. I use an old Cole planter made to be pulled by a mule converted to fit on the tractor. Its a one row and wore out so I borrow my dad's 2 row massey planter if I need to plant anything in rows. I like the design of yours being mounted onto a tool bar.

Happy planting.

It's a Yetter 71 a dead copy of the old JD 71 Flex. It uses plastic plates but I still have no concerns with them lasting plenty long enough for my uses. I too was using an old set of coles but got tired of the skips and lack of plate avalibility.

Those plates won't ever rust and I'm sure will outlast me. I was just curious about the inside parts. Been wanting to get a set of 2 row planters and as far as the fertilizer boxes or options for them to be mounted to the planters is not needed. I don't use it but liquid fertilizer is the way everything is leaning nowadays and have considered it myself. Mostly just do food plots and areas that can't be used for anything else so don't want to tie up megabucks for food plots, I don't even hunt just like growing different things for wildlife.

Thanks for the info will check on your setup as thats a neat looking tool. Behind my tractor it may help the old ford look better. :)

Here in south La. most crop farmers have upgraded to 12 row planters, most of which are the new style air flow planters. The old style row planters can be found on just about any dealers back lot as scrap. Each planter is held on a square or rectangular tool bar by u bolts. With the right size tool bar you can build a set cheap.
