Scrap Metal Recycling

We had a half dozen scrap metal recyclers in the San Jose region of California. I would take in any metal I had. Heck, they even paid a buck for a car battery (for the lead). They took my old patio awning, screen doors, steel sheds, brass plumbing bits. Everything.

I got close to 20 dollars for a full truck load of mixed metal. I didn't mind. It saved it from the land fill and paid for the gas to take it there.

Which ones did you work with? I'm in that neck of the woods and I'm trying to find a recycler that will take a couple of junked cars along with a few tons of scrap steel. Most of them will take what I bring them, but they won't come get anything.
