My buddie's son inherited an 8N with some implements. The scrape blade had a broken pivot tube with all kinds of junk "welded" to it. It was separated from the frame and cracked. Another friend with a machine shop had a length of 3-1/2" sch 80 and he cut me a piece of it and slit it the long way. I had to spread it a little to get it to fit the 3" OD tube mounted on the blade, then used some 1/4" round stock to space the halves apart for a good fit. I welded everything with 6010 or 6011 on the first pass and then laid on some 5/32" 7018. Cut new 3/8" thick gussets to replace the wimpy 1/4" OEM ones. Seemed to turn out pretty good but it doesn't want to spin 360. I figure it will loosen up once the blade is put back on and the tractor works on it. If you notice some hammer marks on the welds that was from my attempt to loosen it up a little. I did add a grease zerk to help it move and help prevent rust in the pivot.
When I was taking it apart I cut the plow bolts off because the blade is due to be reversed. Went to TSC last night and they no longer carry plow bolts. Searched around online and it's pretty hard to find a good deal. Agri Supply has a good price but their shipping was more than the bolts. Found Zoro Tools and they had a 10-pack of 5/8-11 x 2" with nuts for $6 and free shipping!

I hadn't run the SA200 in about a year so it was nice to have a good excuse to fire it up.
