Scratched Hood on 3316

Especially if you paint it blue like some guy I know...

Back on subject, I'd buff the hood out and not spend the $$ on paint right now. Wait until you do some serious damage, and we hope that never happens. You will still see the scratches some, but it will sure look better.

I never thought that if it was painted red that it might be ok. And like I said, it will never be the same, mine isn't anyway. Seriously though, I stand by my other post, wash, wax, go back to work.

I agree, it's a tractor!

I was demolishing a burnt out mobile home frame with my loader when a large chunk of MH frame slipped off the loader bucket and dented my hood. When I got it home I removed the hood and ornament. I turned it over on a piece of carpeted plywood and hammered the dent out with a rubber mallet (and other assorted hammers). Skim coated it with body filler, sanded, primed, resanded and sprayed it with a spray can of almost matching paint from local tractor supply store. Looks good as new. Its a tractor.

3m makes a very nice kit for scratch removal. It is similar to their headlight renewal kit so it has everything you need in its package (except paint of course). You can make it look like it never happened.
