Tractor is 5525 ive had about 2 years.

Had problems connecting hoses to SCV when I first got 5525. But finally got hoses in scvs and use one remote regularly with hydraulics on a disc.
(These are push in hard as he'll ports and pull out)

2 scv remotes ..... Other than the disc they are rarely used.

Fast forward to today:
I have a lime cart (with 5 tons in it) with 2 pair of hydraulic hoses. Cannot get any of the 4 hoses in one of the scv female ports.

-I've tried relieving pressure on both sides multiple times.
-i've taken brakes and tried and tried again.
-ive pushed wiggled, grunted, caused, etc.

Any super tricks??
I've tried everything I know but I can't get any of the 4 hoses in that one port.

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

IDK what hook ups you have on the tractor, but on the cart are you sure the HYD connectors fit the tractor connectors? Are the fittings the same as the disc you hook up?
Some tractors, the entire unit slides back inside the housing and allows the lip on the fitting to pass and lock into place. What happens is the unit inside the housing gets dirty from dust and debris and won't slide back correctly or at all. I hosed mine down is a lubricant and it helped 100%..

Yes..... that is why I explained that 3 of the 4 hoses are connected. The cart male ends are the same as my front end loader and disc.

The problem is 1 female port on the remote. I will not accept the male end from the cart. The connectors appear to all be correct all the way around.

Thanks for help!!! I finally got it.

I used a 7/8" socket to match the inner section of the female port. I hit socket several times with a hammer to free it up. I think it was frozen in position and has to move forward to insert and seat the male connector.

Apparently that was the problem. Now let's put some lime out in the dark!!

Thanks again!!!!
