Step mother has a 15 year old 10X15 deck made of treated lumber, four years ago I power washed and stained it for her (first stain job ever) and within five months the stain began peeling off the knots in the deck boards. Going to redo it this year, and use Cabot brand water based stain again. Does anybody have suggestions as to what to use to prime the knots so they don't bleed through again? Thanks fore your input.
