I just started searching for an "Off Grid" irrigation pump during this dangerously dry Spring in Northeast: Good time to dig another deep pond.
I'm digging a 12 deep pond at least 50 across for water storage for irrigation. My static lift to the fields is about 50' and I figure I need at least another 50' of dynamic head (100-120' TDH total) at 3-5 GPM.
Are pond pumps that are either wind or solar powered with battery back-up with weather tight controller available as a complete kit? Ideally a submersible pump hanging off a raft with the wind or solar array close to the pond would be ideal.
Also. does anyone know of a hand pump backup that works with 6" drilled artisan well?
