Searching multiable Craigslist sites?

I know there is a way to search multiable Craigslist sites from a single link. Someone posted a link to the search engine but I did not save the link.

Does anyone remember the search link?

There may be others, but Search Tempest is the one I use to search a 250 mile radius of my Zip Code.

Here you go - you can modify the search area by sliding the mileage indicator. I've searched as far as 3500 miles for car parts.

Thanks a bunch, That is just what I was looking for. In the SE Texas area there are 5-6 sites withon 150 miles. This will make it much easier.

I really like craigz.com to Search Multiple Craigslist Sites the picture previews save tons of time and you can do a larger area than most of the other sites. I find the navigation easier as well.

You can point Google to search any site you want (including www.Tractoybynet.com BTW) , sort of a "roll your own" deal, but does not do anything to help you limit searches to x miles from your home.

In the Google search box type:
site:craigslist.org <search string>

Search string sratategy hints:
- Use a date to keep from seeing old listings e.g. 2010-02-25 will get listing for yesterday and 2010-02- will get listings for February. You can edit the Google search criteria to "step back" a day at a time if you want.

- Put in name of what you are looking for, but remember people goof up the spelling and sometimes put in spaces where none should be e.g. chain saw instead of chainsaw.

Full example:
site:craigslist.org 2010-02-25 72" box blade

I confess I did not know about craigz.com, so I will try that out, thanks for the tip.
