You can point Google to search any site you want (including
www.Tractoybynet.com BTW) , sort of a "roll your own" deal, but does not do anything to help you limit searches to x miles from your home.
In the Google search box type:
site:craigslist.org <search string>
Search string sratategy hints:
- Use a date to keep from seeing old listings e.g. 2010-02-25 will get listing for yesterday and 2010-02- will get listings for February. You can edit the Google search criteria to "step back" a day at a time if you want.
- Put in name of what you are looking for, but remember people goof up the spelling and sometimes put in spaces where none should be e.g. chain saw instead of chainsaw.
Full example:
site:craigslist.org 2010-02-25 72" box blade
I confess I did not know about craigz.com, so I will try that out, thanks for the tip.
