Hello All, I need more knee room than the seat adjuster allows. Has any one move the seat rail or correspondent parts back or customise your seat in anyway? I have some different ideas but want to check with you all before I go and recreate the wheel.

P.S. its a DK45s (Dirty Kid 45 smiling:laughing:)

I have a Kubota B7500 that I changed the seat on. The original seat was in a fixed position and just had a couple of springs like a lot of lawn tractors. My lawn is fairly bumpy though and I wanted something that would help that situation out. So I bought a pneumatic suspension seat. I came with side rails on the bottom that allow the seat to be adjusted forward or backward as needed. Mounting it was pretty straight forward and all I had to do was make a couple of aluminum cross bars for the new seat assembly to mount to. I like the seat back as far as possible but my limitation ended up being with the 3 point arms being in the uppermost position. This dictated how far back the seat could go. I don't know if you would have this same situation but it would be something to consider. I'm thinking this would be less of a problem or maybe no problem at all on a bigger tractor.

I had the same problem as zman on my Yanmar. The limiting factor is the 3 PH lift arms. I even remover the splash / guard plate between the fenders but only gained another couple of inches but that allowed me to at least get on without throwing my leg over the steering wheel. Since the suspension seat that I used was larger than the standard seat, it made the ride more comfortable but much more cramped. I still need more room, but havent figured out how to get it. Maybe I need to hire those stretch limo guys to stretch my frame a bit. My final and best solution to the problem was to buy a larger tractor.

I have a 03 BX2200 and made an adapter plate to move the seat slides and seat further back, plus it raised the seat about 1.5". I fabbed it up using a piece of .25" plate and two pieces of 1" by 1.5 or 2" channel. Measured the distance I had to gain and just moved the holes back on the channel accordingly. Sure made the difference using the foot control to the Hydro static drive. I am 6' 3" tall with 14 inch boots and arthiritic knees. This mod made all the difference in getting on and off plus running the tractor
