Seat belts for my L3940

Hello, I am new to this forum and owning a tractor and am just learning to navigate around. I started this thread because I have a question. I purchased my L3940 two years ago. I have looked everywhere online trying to find seatbelt attachments specific to my Tractor with absolutely no luck. I am using this Tractor in some steep areas and would feel better if I could wear seatbelts to accompany the overhead protection bars. Does anyone have a clue where one might purchase the seatbelts and attachments? Seems I can never get the dealer to call me back. Thanks in advance.

You can buy retracting seat belts from your Kubota dealer.

I disliked them. Retracting mech too easily clogged with dust when Bush Hogging.

I now have a 2-POINT CHROME LIFT LATCH (#1800-60) seat belt @ $16.95 plus shipping from seatbeltsplus.com. You may need to purchase the optional mounting hardware if the Kubota bolts, nuts and washers are not on your seat now. These belts are 'Grand L' quality.

I wear waist size 40 pants. I purchased a 60" seat belt. If you are a big boy, you will need a longer length. They will cut the belt fabric to any length you wish. Measuring directions on the web site.

Since your new to tractors, I've found it helpful to reference the parts drawings on Kubota's web site. Navigate to "PARTS" or use this link: http://www.kubota.com/part/parts.aspx

Select "Illustrated Parts List", accept the Terms and Conditions and then enter your model number. After finding the part numbers you can use the supporting dealers websites to reference prices.

I left my seatbelt snapped together under the seat where I found it when bought it used. But a tippy tractor is another story entirely! I live in a flat area.

The retractor mechanism (predictably) failed after about 5 years on my L4330. Believe me, you do NOT want to go get a new one from Kubota. IIRC, something like $300! I'm using one like Jeff, except mine is the pushbutton release. Wife actually likes it a lot better than the retractable since it doesn't gradually tighten up!
