After a few years of making temporary repairs to cracks in my BX2200 seat (with fair success) I decided last year to buy a seat cover. I do not remember where I bought it, but found a reference here at TBN.

I was skeptical and figured I was probably making a mistake, but it was cheap enough to try without great loss.

Surprisingly I can report that I am pretty happy with the result, although less than a year has passed. I even like the orange motif. (I figured I would prefer solid black, but figured I would try something different)

My seat was 15 years old last year, and aside from cracks in the plastic cover still serviceable. I turned from skeptic to believer. I may not have bought the exact cover for this tractor, as it is a little loose (not spandex) but I am still a happy camper.

Just a comment for those who may be in a similar situation.

Me too........on the seat cover. I gouged a rip in the seat with a tool in the back pocket of jeans. Have covered every seat since then. But my cover wasn't as pretty as yours Henro.

Cheers,
Mike

I just use a couple (trade them back and forth) seat cushions that cover the bottom and back of the seat. Most of the time I'm sitting naked on the seat. Lots more comfortable with a cloth or sheep fleece under my butt.

Protects most of the seat from the sun, too.

How about a source ? My Yanmar seat is starting to crack, I can see needing to replace it in a year or so.

I bought a Cub Cadet seat cover for my Kubota M6800 and it fits great. Was about $20. They had two sizes.

I put one on several years ago for the same reason (ripped vinyl seat). The big downside to me is I could wipe water off the vinyl with a towel and go back to work, the cover just stays wet.

Got curious, because I absolutely can not remember where I got it. BUT it looks it was likely this place:

I hope you're wearing something more than sunglasses when you're on your tractor.

Just don't look then. (you'll figure it out ...)
