Seat Cover Replacement

My Kubota B2620, which is only 5 years old, has wear rips in the seat. It only has 500 hours on it and has been garage kept most of it's life. I had a Kubota BX1800 for 1200 hours that had a seat in perfect condition when I traded it in. Anyway my grumbling is done but now I'm trying to source a seat cover to replace ripped one. It would be a simple fix as the cover on the foam is held in place with a plastic retaining bead that fits over metal on the seat. When I contacted the dealer he said no such simple cover is availalabe. He said they were in the past but not now. Does anyone know better??? Thanks!

That is odd that is all it lasted. Maybe a local upholstery shop could help you??

I've managed to 're-apolster' the seat on my 6100 using a piece of heavy canvas, a speedy-stitcher and some stout cord. Pulling some fabric or sewn-on strapping through the drain holes in the seat was key to a right fit. Serves the purpose.

Thanks folks. Guess I'll have to tackle the job myself. I was a upholsterer years ago and can jerry rig up a cover out of vinyl but I had hoped a form fitted one was available. That would be better as there would be sewed no seams.

My seat manages to soak up moisture if I let it get rained on, tipped up even. Annoying to sit on after a few hours. I can't see where it gets in, but it does. I need a cover as well.

Once you get the seat covered as you desire, you might think about adding a "seat cover" over that so as to have it last longer. I found one on Amazon that is working well for me. Having gouged the seat from a tool in my back pocket prompted me to add the cover. Seems like it was about 20 bucks. The SMV sign holds it in place along with its elastic perimeter. The wet butt syndrome persists however.
