I use the stock seat.. Remove the rubber bumpers ,and installed springs from a riding mower... It works great !
Hey There RB, I am interested to hear an idea or two, I am ready to upgrade mine.
The 336 has springs as original equipment. I just thought the better seat would be a lot more comfortable. It sure is on the 2002. It will mean making a new mounting bracket. I was hoping some had allready done one and could give me some Ideas.I'll take a pictur today and post it later.View attachment 407523View attachment 407524View attachment 407525View attachment 407526View attachment 407527View attachment 407528View attachment 407525One problem is the factory seat bracket is slightly off center so the bracket will have to compensate for that.
Where did you find those caps that go over the large seat springs? Thank you in advance.
I put a suspension seat on mine, I think it was a "grammar" brand seat with built in suspension and little arm rests kinda. This was back in the 80's sometime ago and no pics, but I'm sure it involved a little fab work adding metal to make a flat mounting surface. Wish I kept that little tractor! That transmission was the best (3 sp + rev) on the column with no clutching, then 4 speeds (maybe 3) in the "box".
