Well, my fellow BLUE owners, I have only had to plow snow 1 time so far this winter in south-central Michigan. But it seems that we finally got what the weather people said, got enough last night that I'll be able to fire up the Mighty TC18 and get some more seat time. High today is only supposed to be 14 degrees or so. Happy tractoring!

Last winter photo 01 you were just about buried, and some Kubota owners were considing starting out to give you a helping hand. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Take care out there and do enjoy your seat time.

Jim, it's been so long since we heard from you that I was afraid something bad might have happened. Glad to see you're still around and hope all's going well for you.

Rat,

No loader...yet, I just use the 5' Woods back blade, have loaded turf tires on rear (loaded with beet juice) and the 4x4 seems to do a pretty good job. Didn't have much to plow, maybe 4" in the deep spots, but I got some seat time anyway.

Bird,

Nothing bad, just get really busy during the school year...have to make up for the summer off you know!
Also rebuilt/upgraded my computer. Went from an AMD K2-6 500 Mhz to an AMD Athlon XP 2100. Changed the motherboard also, so now I have on board USB 2.0 and Firewire IEEE. Plan to try to do some digital video editing and burn some of it onto cd's...in my spare time!

Good to hear from you too.

Thomas,

You know that I'll give you a call and have a fresh pot of coffee ready if the snow ever gets THAT deep!!! It might take you awhile to get here from NH though!!

Not much snow yet this winter, but it has been pretty cold for here. It was about 10 degrees out when I plowed today with a little bit of wind. That means double extra brrrr for those members down south.

Take care, JimBinMI

Jim, the USB 2.0 sounds like its going to be a very popular way to go. It actually surpases current Firewire speeds (supposedly) although I understand Firewire will be increasing double to 800Mps. With digital cameras coming more dominant, faster card readers will become important. My old Nikon Coolpix 950 uses a serial port to download the data from the compactflash. Needless to say, with a serial port, it takes about an hour to transfer just 32 megs of data to my computer. I want to eventually get a card reader but would like to wait for USB 2.0 or go to Firewire.

Oh yeah, to keep on topic, pushing with the boxblade certainly is a very powerful way to go. Loading up the rears with the load is very advantageous. Its how I cut all 1500 yards of material here at my place. I was truly amazed at how well it worked and how one hour of boxblading backwards created about 5 hours or dirt hauling. Rat...
