Well, it rained most of yesterday here in florida ( soposed to rain some today and tomorrow possibly ).

I had put a few hundred pounds of grass seed out in my pasture to thicken it up in april after we had a rainy day.. It's been dry since then, so the growth has been slow.

I took advantage of a lull int he rain, and ran the old 8n around the pasture broadcasting some fertalizer.

It was nice to be out in the cool moist air working. Had a few neighbors drive by and wave.

Besides getting a bit wet.. I had a great time... very destressing... Perhaps they should offer tractor therapy!!!

The only problem I find with the Tractor Therapy is that it helps me immensly, but when I stop and come into the house the wife is stressed out and finds it necessary to relieve it on me. So the net effect is negative because her unload is always larger than mine /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Of course if I wasn't just "playing" with the tractor and I was doing some "work" it might not be so bad.

Anyone have any ideas of how to do "work" with one of these here tractor thingy's? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Soundguy is there such a thing as bad seat time? Anytime that we jump on the seat is relaxing as far as I am concerned.

We have also been seeing quite a bit of wet and cold weather here in Ohio also. Hopefully things are going to be different for the weekend. Hope so because we really need to get the corn in.

You might be on to something! Tractor Therapy.....HMMMMMMMMMMM! A National chain of Tractor Therapy shops. Kinda hard to put in a mall..... But not a bad thought...

I don't ever recall anyone driving a tractor into the Post Office before they started shooting... (Although... I know a goodly number of "nut cases" that have tractors....We won't go any further with that...........)

I guess the only thing i could call 'bad' seat time is if I have to rush a project, or fit something in I wasn't planning on doing.. like getting voulentered to go do work for someone else.. etc.. or some other situation I can't take my time and enjoy myself.

Pretty much here too. I mow 10ac of my pasture about once a month.. give or take, weather dependent. When I'm out there.. I don't recall 'thinking' about anything... as far as I know.. my mind just runs a 'test pattern' while I'm mowing. I'm almost always relaxed after coming in from a few hours of grass cutting. I'll bet if you took a brain scan of me while mowing.. the pattern might look like the cut pattern on my field! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I've found that you can disguise quite a bit of seat time as work, or make work.. etc /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ironically, sometimes I'll do a task that may take just as long by hand, as with the tractor.. but heck.. I use the tractor anyway. Like carrying feed buckets out to the hog pens. Loading the buckets into the wheel barrow and walking out to the pens ( 300feet?) , dumping them, walking back, and going inside... Or hit the barn, bring the tractor around.. laod the buckets and do the same. Sure does save my knees walking /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I've found the tractor 3pt drawbar makes a great bucket carrier.. rais the lift a little, remove one lower lift arm, slide the bucket handles onthe 11 hole drawbar, then re-attach the arm.. lift the drawbar all the way... instant bucket carrier.

Course.. I also cheat sometimes and use the ford 660 with front end loader... gosh.. dont know how i got along without it.

Hmm.. I'll bet the liability insurance is even cheaper than malpractice coverage for the doctor!!!

Peacefull bliss.... Riding around on the tractor means I can't hear the cell phone for one thing. (PLEASE don't tell my boss about the vibrate mode.....)

I'm almost completely deaf. 90% in one ear, 75% in the other. For years, my wife has been after me to get a hearing aide. My reply???? Huh? WHAT?

If I COULD hear everything, then I'd HAVE to hear everything.

Beautiful day here yesterday.
Mowed 1.7 hours.
Done a small .5 Hr.BH job for a phone line. Must be getting a little better using it cause when i got done digging up close and under the edge of the house it was still standing.LOL

Remember that guy back in 2002 who drove his tractor into the Reflecting Pond on the mall in Wash, DC? He had a wagon in tow and claimed it contained explosives. Constitution Ave was closed for a day or two while he stood off the FBI. His explosives turned out to be soap. Don't remeber what he issue was.

Doubt his seat time was too theraputic.
