Seatbelt problems during rollovers

/ Seatbelt problems during rollovers #11
My CK seat belt is the self retracting style that buckles to the left side. I can see that if you are in a slow roll it could play out. It takes quite a fast pull to get it to lock. Of course, for me, because of my girth, that is about an inch!

Sandlot,

Yes, that is familiar. Sounds similar to how car seatbelts work (quick pull on the belt and it locks).

I would have thought somebody tested for slow rollovers.

Chach,

If your Ontario ministry is waiting for testing results from the Italian mfg for seats supplied to Kioti ,I would think that Kioti should have them on file in North Carolina. Why don't they supply the results? How long does it take to send the paperwork from Italy to Canada?

mb
Kioti should have the test results and certification info right at the head office
you would think but who knows.Something l learn today ,that CSA writes up standards but does not test tractors,it is up to agr. ministry to enforce the standards. The standards bussiness is a whole new ball game to me.You have international std.,country of origin std.,American std.,and Canadian std.,but no one figured out that a tractor could roll going slow and how do you keep operator secure.

how long does it take paper work to get from Italy to Canada you asked, depends whether we pick it or comes by kondola, will be the same no matter which way. I brought this issue up in the begining of June

Actually, it is not the quick pull that locks it. It is a pendulum that swings, locking the mechanism.
