I had an idea that I thought was worth passing on to you guys. I replaced the blade on my 47" snowbower and it occurred to me that the old blade would make a nice second drift bar. Just cut it to length, smooth the sharp edges on the grinding wheel, drill a couple of mounting holes and paint. Nice and strong and you get two from one blade.

I have always thought there should be one on each side of the blower.

My 59 does have two drift knives. Seems like I see about a 50/50 split of blowers with one vs two.

Me too. I don't understand why they aren't supplied with a drift bar on each side. I went & bought a 2nd one. I paint the upper 3 inches blaze orange so they are visible at night, which is when we do most snowblowing work.
