Just found some 10" x 3.25" segmented tires for my 6' Phoenix rear mount mower deck. The original roller tires were solid hard rubber. Anyone have any experience with the segmented ones as they look very durable but seem to be a bit cheaper?
I have no idea how I bent the fork mount for the tire but, with the wheel not running straight, I did a perfect job of tearing up the solid tire. I know that the segmented tire on the back of the brush hog can really take a beating so unless the smaller ones can't hold up I will probably give them a try.

Bought the segmented tire will let you know how it works out. Should arrive about 9/2/2013. :eek:ptimist:

Well actually today is the 2nd. So I don't know when it will arrive but, thanks to Gary I am even more optimistic.

Every bushhog I have seen has segmented tires. They work and last forever

Our Woods DS1260 pull type has foam filled airplane tires, but everything else uses segmented wheels, both are very durable, segmented much cheaper.
