I am selling my 2009 4520 with e-hydro, 3rd scv, R4 tires, deluxe hood guard, automotive style cruise control, quick hitch, 400x loader with heavy duty bucket, MX6 rotary cutter. Tractor has 110 hrs. Garage kept. Can anyone help me with the asking price?

Drop about 20%-25% off your purchase price as a starting point.
You can also review www.machinefinder.com and www.tractorhouse.com for dealer prices but don't expect to get a dealer asking price.

It's tough, but a 2-3 year old tractor is right in the middle of the worst part of the depreciation slope. Plus, you're competing against dealer financing (and Deere's financing, even on used tractors, is very competitive).

Another option to consider is selling through consignment at your dealer. But you're still looking at a 20%-25% depreciation.

Good luck!

I am hoping if I can sell my current tractor to purchase a new 4020 series tractor with the new hydraulics. Thanks to all the replies! ;)

I have been thinking about this also. I want to add an electro hydraulic 3rd scv for a 4 in 1 bucket with JD's new joystick handle, I also need 2 scv's on rear. I prefer to add a valve like the new JD 4th and 5th that is independent of the loader valve. I also want a power beyond kit for a JD 485 backhoe. I have been researching the new hydraulics on MY2011 4020 series from JD and trying to figure out how to put it on my 2009 4520. Any help? :D

I will have to check on this over the weekend but my first impression would be to add the power beyond circuit to your tractor that you want. Then add a 3 spool electric operated valve with quick couplers. You could then plug the power beyond loop into the added 2 spool valve or into the 485 backhoe. You can add the handle grip to your existing fel for the aux hyd circuit up front and add the rocker switches to control the other two spool valves at the rear. Need to make sure the spool valve will handle the 12 gpm flow rate of the tractor.

I don't have a fel on my 4520 so I removed the hardlines running to the mid mounting and replaced these with hoses to the rear. This gives me three rear outlets. The fel handle controls the topntilt hitch and the third set controls the scarifiers.

I was a little miffed that the 4520 was not available with the same setup as the 110tlb. The 110 has three front and three rear outlets with the triple diverter. It also has the same electric control as you would need for the new electric operated valve mounted on the fel lever. The 110 setup works very well, it has a momentary switch on the fel that changes the diverter from front to rear and a rocker switch for the aux fel/third rear outlet. In summary you can adjust all three of the fel functions and all three of the rear functions without removing your hand from the fel control.

If you require separate or simultaneous use of the fel and rear outlets using the power beyond is necessary. I am thinking the Deere arrangement both new and 2009 models use a diverter that is operated with switches. Not sure but I will check on this.

Here is a pic of the rear of my tractor with boxblade (and hyd scarifiers) and tontilt.
