semi-mount?

looking at buying a new rotary cutter. I am looking at a 8' or 9' cutter and need to be able to load and unload easily on my trailer. So I was wondering if lift type is my only option or can the semi mount be lifted completely off the ground while loading on to trailer?

A semi-mount cutter does not use the top link of the three point hitch, therefore it can not be lifted off the ground. The rear wheels on the semi-mount are controled by either a manual adjustment ratchet or a hydrulic cylinder.

Base on your profile, IMHO I do not think that your tractor will handle a 8 or 9 foot lift type mower. Your tractor only has net pto hp of 37.5 and most of these mowers require a greater hp in the range of 45-60 hp at the pto.
