Serious story with a surprise twist

When it failed to ignite he made his escape on a <font color="red"> lawnmower!!</font> He was apprehended after a low speed chase.

The best part is the line in the article that said: " The make of Coleman’s mower was not available last night"

Back when I was a young policeman, our uniform supplier had parking in the rear of his store. Since it was downtown other parking was hard to come by, so we always parked in the back of the store. The guy that had the store next to the supplier would come out an yell at us about parking back there. We'd be in uniform so we had to take the beratings and move to car to avoid a complaint or create a scene.
One day his business burned down and he died in the fire. The arson investigator told me the fire started with gas upstairs and they found him on the floor on the main level with a bic lighter in his right hand. Seems he torched the upstairs and it flashed over moving downstairs as he made his attempt at a get away. No one deserves to die, but it left no doubt as to who the arsonist was in this case.
