Here's my thoughts; If I bought the tractor from the dealer then I would expect them to give me any help I need, that's why they get a markup on the tractor, in return I will buy parts and accessories from them and recommend them to my friends and others. If I didn't buy the tractor from them then it is their ball game, they could tell me to get lost or they could try to "kill me with kindness" in hopes they turn me into a future customer.
I recently bought a new tractor at a dealer that was recommended to me by someone I respected, their price was the highest of the all the dealers I shopped but I bought there anyway because I was promised a "no problem delivery". Well, I won't go into details but I really paid too much for the tractor based on the service I got so next time maybe I will go with price and take my chances on the service.
Maybe I'm not a normal customer but I believe the dealer has to make money on the deal so he is around to help when the need arises.
