Tractor
Mitsubishi MT372
Hi all. I just bought my first tractor, an MT372. Looks good and runs great. Everything seems to work fine, even the lights. When I first looked at it, the owner cranked it up and we ran it for a bit and all seemed well. I went back later to pick it up, and it wouldn't crank. Seems it ran out of fuel sitting there. SO...I got a quick lesson in bleeding the fuel system:laughing: And after a bit we got it cranked, loaded, and brought home. NOW....

I need to change all of the fluids and filters. The fuel bowl is dripping, so I may need to replace that. I'm hoping the number for the Cub Cadet filter bowl is the same as mine. referenced here:

Parts and Diagrams for Cub Cadet 7193 Tractor

I have numbers for all of the filters except the air. I'll use Shell Rotella 5W40 for the oil. The hydraulics use 80-90 gear oil, or AW46 Universal Tractor Lube?

I have sent an email to Valley Power for manuals. I've got a felling I'll be needing those.

Can someone give me a list of the fluids I'll need along with quantities. Hopefully I can figure out where they go.

Any service tips would be appreciated.

Seems to be a fine little tractor for my needs. Now out to the garage for some tinkering. Thanks

Well....I changed the oil and filter. Replaced the + battery cable and tightened the - terminal. Adjusted the brakes. Greased all of the fittings. Reconnected the fuel return into the top of the fuel tank. Reconnected the clutch safety switch. Replaced the fuel bowl and filter with Kubota parts. Replaced the air filter with a Carquest filter 88270. Replaced the fan belt.

Rode it up and down the drive a few times. To wet and cold to do much more. So far it seems like a nice little tractor. Cranked right up this morning at around 20 degrees. But it needs some weight on the front end.

Kubota part numbers for fuel bowl/filter:

KTC 1T021-43580 E511 Filter Cup
04811-00390 E511 O-Ring
15231-43560 G401 Filter

You have a nice little first tractor. That was my first also and I still have it. Not my favorite, but very dependable and tough.
Valley Power is an excellent source for parts. Now mine is the 4X4 model. If you changed the oil and filter and trans/diff oil that's about all there is.Keep it greased. Keep it full of fuel. Don't push your luck and learn it's limits. Be careful and have fun!
This is a great form and we are lucky to have it.
Welcome!

Well, I've drained the trans/hydraulic fluid and cleaned the screen. That was all in pretty good shape and really didn't need changing. Took forever to refill since I didn't have a pump. Took 3 gallons of Coastal 80/90 gear oil.

She's running and working like a champ now.

Now, I need a seat.

And tires.

And weights.

I used the online manuals until I received my manuals. I ordered all of the manuals--operators---parts manual and the shop manual that breaks down the tractor on overhauls or repairs.
The gentlemen is very correct about reading your manual and learn the tractors limitations which is a major danger if misused and costly.
I took the manual and searched for all oil plugs and oil levels--Mine is a Diesel, so I use a different oil--Never allow a diesel to run out of fuel.--Bleeding the newer ones is a lot better than the old ones where you had to pull the injectors. My Satohs has a bleeder valve on it--a whole lot easier.

***A point of interest---I live in southern Arkansas and it is some what sandy---I power wash the tractor and use a spray or liguid oil--no grease---the sandy soil can be like sand paper when it gets in the working parts.
Good luck on your tractor---I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

Where could I find these? I plan to order the manuals from Valley Power....as soon as funds allow.

http://www.satohparts.com/faq.html-----Go to this website and click on FAQS----a lot of information is here about the tractors.
Use goggle to find manuals on line--list your tractor model and on line manuals.
Valley Power should have some on line.
The Buck I have--when I added oil it took 3-4 gallons or close to it--The transmission also services oil to the rear end on my tractor.---Engine oil and Hyd. oil is different places to check or add oil.
Find a member that has a tractor same model and ask them for information.

That link will work if you take off the dashes and Go at the end. I think the 372 and the Buck have the same transmission/rear end.
