I just purchased a Kubota 500 a couple of months ago. I have been reading the posts concerning the servo adjustment, but they are almost two years old. Do these problems still exist on the 500. I have not really used mine enough to determine what power I have or am lacking as to hill climbing, mud, etc. It is getting close to hunting season here in Mississippi and I will know more by the end of November. Just wondering. Also the RPM increase that was addressed was on carburetor units, mine is fuel injected. Does this still apply? Thanks for any input or info.

I would say it depends on your build date. Some say the problem has been corrected. I can't determine if mine needs the adjustment or not and I've had mine a year. I think it lacks power IMO. Good luck with yours during hunting season. I finally took mine to some hunting property and was traveling a fresh logging road and a large branch ripped my CV boot. The ground clearance sucks on these machines. Its nice to be able to carry all your gear such as stand, tools, buckets of corn, etc but it doesn't do you any good if you can't get there.

I think more than the year of the RTV it is the dealer you purchase it from. If you bought it from a great dealer it's likely they will have it set up well for you. If not you may need to adjust it, don't let it scare you the adjustment is very easy if you look at the detailed posts on servo and rpm adjustment. The servo adjustment by itself won't hurt anything either, worse case you'll go to far and need to go back some as long as you move small amounts and try it out you'll be good to go.:thumbsup:
