Ken, I'm with you. If the occasional 4000 lb rock needs skidding, thats one thing, I have indeed done it. If your breaking front axles either your really overloading the machine or your machine has weak front axles. I won't comment about my thoughts here as I have seen enough posts to convince me where I think the weak manufactuers are. Suffice it to say, overloading a front loader and then compensating for it via ballast and counter ballast is your option, I choose not to risk it, at least not as an ongoing practice. RaT...
