I recently had two of the bolts that hold the frame to the rear end of the tractor snap off. I first thought they had just come loose and fallen out, I wasnt that lucky. Both bolts on the left side snapped off. When I removed the rear cover off the differential I was hoping there would be enough protruding on the inside to get some vicegrips on, no such luck. I had to remove the left rear axle assy and drill and easy out one, the other did have enough to vicegrip out.
The mechanic at the Cub dealer said these Super Garden tractors were prone to this because of the long wheelbase and that the end of the frame isn't supported from twisting unless you have the plate installed for the bagger accessory. In the process of correcting this I discovered the two bolts on the right of the hydro missing also.
If you have a SGT, I would suggest you inspect the four frame bolt attaching to the rear end and just forward are four more bolts (two per side) securing the hydro unit to the frame.
The mechanic also suggested replacing those frame bolts with grade 8, the ones that snapped were 6's.
I don't want to do that repair again, the EZ out process is stressful!
Good luck, post if I can answer questions.
