Tractor
Kubota L345DT
Hi all,
I've owned my l345dt since November 2010 when I bought it along with 10 acres in the foothills outside Seattle. Honestly I think I was more excited about the tractor than about the house. :D

I've used this site quite a bit to figure out how to fix the tractor... it was not particularly well maintained and I'm paying the price now. Anyway, I finally need to post a thread because its broken and Kubota is telling me I'm out of luck since they don't make a part anymore.

I was working around the property and the front-end loader (L1720) started to make a noise like it was eating itself alive and I lost hydraulic lift in the FEL. I quickly shut down the tractor to avert as much damage as possible. I pulled the external hydraulic pump and have found that both the shaft 70050-01113 and the flange 35370-8853-2 have stripped the splines pretty good. This was the source of the awful noise and lack of hydraulics on the FEL. Talked to Kubota and the flange is still being produced (cost over $200 which seems obscene but at least they still make it). Unfortunately the shaft is not... I've tried quite a few different places in the Pacific Northwest and no one can get it. Also talked to Coleman equip in Kansas and they don't have it either. Any thoughts or does someone have a spare they would be willing to sell? I figure my last resort is either to have one made or to replumb the FEL into the tractor hydraulics. Replumbing didn't look particularly simple from what I saw on this site.

I appreciate it, I want to get back in the seat and do some tractoring! It's frustrating having it busted.

Interesting site. Parts from.05 cents to several thousand dollars. No pictures of items. Will call tomorrow about some hard to find power steering items. Could the discontinued item be found at a tractor dismantler?

not my specialty, but how about a hydraulic pump driven by your pto?

Thanks jmanatee2, I'm going to give them a call tomorrow to see if they actually have the shaft or if it is a relic of the internet. Coleman Equipment had the shaft as "available" on their site but ended up not actually having it in stock (or able to get it). Fingers crossed that Golden Eagle actually has it in stock.

2458n, the thing that Coleman was able to get me was a list of tractor boneyards to call. I will try them as well. I'm a bit weary of the boneyard because I can't actually figure out how my shaft managed to get worn out given that it shouldn't have had much stress on it (and was replaced in 99 per a receipt I found). We'll see... these tractors last a long time and its very frustrating to have parts not available!

Not sure what it looks like, but maybe a talented machine shop could make a new shaft. My hay guy scoffed at a Massey part price, and a local meononite machine shop remachined his part at a fraction of the cost. He was back to bailing in no time.

I live 10 min. from Coleman and know them pretty well. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

As I feared, Golden Eagle doesn't have it either (even though it's listed on the web). Might have to have a machine shop make it I guess.

Kevin, might try this guy in West Linn, Or. Says on craigslist that he has Kubota tractors for parts. 503-638-1939. Info on craigslist=sale-eqqrw-2574973817@craiglist.org. Down the road a bit from Seattle, but not that far. Hope he can help.

Thanks Dick, I just called him and he's got a ton of parts... and he had the part but sold it already! Nice guy though and worth calling if you need something.
