So what's the deal here? There are certain dealers that routinely solicite business, often saying "I can get that part for you" or "I sell such-an-such and I'd be happy to ship it to you". I've even read threads that appeared that dealers were competing with each other in the thread.
In contrast, most of the vendor reps that I read seem to provide good information about their products, but they don't push
Are there certain approved people that are allowed to do this and if so, who are they? Or, is this just normal and I should get over it?
I know in the past there was a famous (or rather infamous) case where a dealer created another account and was saying things specifically to promote their dealership. However, they weren't very careful about it, and were quickly called out.
