I have a woods bb60x mower with the shear pin. It works great, but I've gone through 12 or more
shear pins in a couple months. The dealer gave me 307a bolts.
He told me to just be more careful. It was getting tiresome so I did some
research. Woods calls for a grade 2 bolt. It turns out a 307a is softer than a
grade 2 which is why it was difficult to remove when it broke. And it broke often.
I bought some grade 2 bolts and have been
happily mowing some pretty aggresive brush with
no problem now. Just thought some one would
like to know. It took me a while to figure it out
and the dealer was no help.
