Tractor
Kubota B2650HSD w/Frontloader & CC LTX1046 & Craftman T2200 lawn mower.
Yesterday morning after pushing back snow banks I ran out of time...Mrs. wanted me to push the shoping basket :(...I didn't get a chance to remove the snow around the motorcycle trailer, also remove the snow from the area where the trailer sets from mud season until turkey day.

Last night I decide to leave shed doors open and let the warmer temps inside...MISTAKE...after my third cup coffee this morning and the outside temps at 33F still little dark I decided it was time to play...opps work ;)as I enter the shed I notice a 3/4 bag of deer pellets had tip over,as I was cleaning up the mess I heard something and did't give it much thought, than as I walk between the dump trailer and Kubota I notice something sound a sleep on the seat...yup a big ole Raccoon,as I slowly retreaded I caught a glimps of another raccoon a sleep on old blanket in the dump trailer....welll I am head for the local coffee shop now to get caught up on the gossip :) and when I return hope those's two little bandits have left,or the Chevy alarm clock shall make a noise...HONK...HONK...HONK....now who said tractor seats aren't comfortable. ;)

Thomas, you are too kind! I'd be rudely awakening those little critters and showing them the door. I like them outside only.:)

Raccoons can get pretty nasty when rudely awakened . They can also carry rabies :(. The rabies shots are pretty expensive. You do not have to ask me how I know this . I still have a tendency to want to run with the Full Moon :D. Jay

Maybe when I was tadpole I would have wrestle w/those lite buzz saws, but now w/snow on the roof showing little fear and good judgement I won't need to purchase new jacket, and I'll still have my TBN hat to wear. ;)

I hear treatment can also be painful, but treatment today better than it was 40 years ago.

Thomas: Fighting with the insurance company to get reimbursement for my out of pocket costs was the biggest problem as I did not "present" the symptomology required for approval. When I finally was able to convince them that once I showed the requisite symptoms for reimbursement I would beyond the treatment option and my estate would take them for everything they could even conceive. They quickly assumed my costs once they figured the legal ramifications out . My pharmacist suggested that I smear shaving cream all over my face and personally visit the "Home Office". They no longer give you shots in the abdomen, but I learned all about migraine headaches and disorientation beyond my normal state of confusion  :D- Jay

I have an open faced shed I park the tractor in and the coons will go in and clean off the shelves every so often. They are neat freaks as they wash their food most of the time. Guess they disapprove of my cluttered shelves.
My father had to take the rabies vaccination back in the fifties. He had to wear bib overalls as his stomach was so sore he could not stand the pressure of belted trousers. He had contact with a rabid dog which had the "Dumb Rabies". He thought one of his hunting dogs had a bone lodged in the roof of it's mouth and was scraped by a tooth while checking the dog. He then had to go through the 13 shots in the abdomen.

Dozernut: My rabies exposure was indirectly through one of my dogs (a lot of fluid exposure) who tangled with something in the woods one night (probably a raccoon). There are usually a lot of raccoons in this area; rabies keeps the numbers down. I think of universal precautions when dealing with people, but not with dogs. No problems with/for the dog (other than some puncture wounds)- his shots were up to date. In fact he seemed quite pleased with his whole experience . The vet suggested I contact the ER for me and that's when the "fun" happened for me :(. I should have kept up with the booster shots (just like my dog) as rabies is an episodic problem in western MA (skunks and raccoons predominently). Jay
