Shibaura Question

Are there any other tractor manufacturers that used the Shibaura engine?

Got a blown head gasket & looking for a mechanic that knows something about them.

I don't know what manufacturers may have used Shibaura engines. Did Shibaura tractors use Shibaura engines or did they source engines from another vendor?

The Massey Ferguson 17M series had Shibaura engines.

The question is who else besides Ford used Shibaura engines so I can find someone to work on mine.

I didn't know Shibaura even made tractors.
MF dealers & mechanics should be easier to find.

Any others that anybody knows about?

I would not expect my local Deere or Kubota dealer to replace the head gasket on my Ford Shibaura engine or have the parts to do so.

New Holland some Boomer series tractors also had Shibaura engines along with the older Fords

Do you have any equipment repair shops, ex: air compressors, chippers, stump grinders etc near you? Any good repair shop could handle that job.
You could ask your local tractor dealer if they would do the job ever though they don't sell that brand. Many shops are looking for work.

there are a lot of dealers who repair most tractor brands. a head gasket is a head gasket. parts are a phone call away.

they wont do other brand warranty work.

you could make a phone call and verify.
