I imagine there are some folks who can get some parts for Shibaura, but the availability is certainly not widespread....thus the tractor pricing is lower than for some other brands. Just be aware that a major parts failure could leave you with an expensive lawn ornament. http://www.hstractor.com/hstractor_shibaura.htm Homestead states on their website that they have the parts manual.
Thanks for reply. I've had a Yanmar 1500D and a Ford 1520 and both were tough little tractors. I think the Ford is made by Shibuara. I can't pass up this Shibuara 2243 because of the good condition it is in. Thanks again.
