Bobcat CT225, Case 444,
So I'm selling a new but unused belly mower off my 2010 Bobcat CT225. An interested buyer in Indiana has inquired about shipping from PA.

Where would I look to for a shipper and is it even feasible?

Strap it to a pallet and send it on a freight line, like Yellow or R+L etc. Should be lots of options, just gotta start calling.

I just had a Curtis Cab shipped from MO to OH for cheap using uShip.com (aka Shipping wars) - you can get anything shipped anywhere using their network of shippers. Much cheaper than a national based carrier. In fact you can name you price and negotiate from there.

Good Luck!

In the past I sold a lot of big stuff (pinball machines, arcade games, ect) all across the country. I always let the buyer do all the setting up of the shipper and all the paperwork. If the item needed to be on a pallet I would do that for a fee. Usually $75.00 . After the buyer made arrangements with the shipper the shipper would call and set up a pickup time. No problems, no hassles. That way I was not spending my time (for free) on the phone with shippers setting up shipping. All I then had to do was sign when the item was picked up. Good luck

Apparently Uship was $700. A little steep on a $1500 unit.

That's robbery. Four years ago I had an restored IH Little Genius two-bottom plow weighing about 1000 lb shipped from central Illinois to Northern California for $500--about 2000 miles. Listed it on uShip and found the hauler there. It took nearly three weeks since he had two other loads to pick up in IL and deliver in CA and I was the last delivery.

Good luck

Forgot to mention. Last year I bought that 1949 JD B tractor from a seller near Portland Oregon. Tractor weighs about 4500 lb. Had it shipped about 400 miles to my place--cost $350 plus $50 tip.
Shipping from PA to Indiana can't be more than 500 miles or so.
