On our website http://www.sweetfarms.com We offer the entire lower 48 free shipping to a truck terminal or a non farm commercial business near you and for $50 extra we can deliver to the farm. You will notice that our free shipping is divided into 4 zones. By pricing our products this way, we do not over charge customers that are closer to us to compensate for the ones that are farther away. Ken Sweet

Hi Ken,

With much respect I have to note that while I have very often appreciated your past advice and assistance, I still have to point out that if there is a difference (increase in price) between the in-store pick-up price and the delivered price, you are not providing free shipping. This is proven by the further differential in prices that you quote between various different regions.

To be sure, your method of charging for shipping is much more fair than the Everything Attachments way with charging the same shipping charge (differential) for everything, but it is still not actually FREE.shipping.

I am sorry,
Thomas

I appreciate your input. What exactly would be the descriptive term you would use? Ken Sweet

I have that Tarter 5ft rotor tiller on my list of things I'm considering buying either this year or next. You have one price, then the zone 2 price brings it up quite a bit more. From $1,855 to $1,984 with shipping. Does that mean the shipping is $129 to a terminal somewhere near my area? And does that mean it's another $50 to get it to my place if I don't have the time to go find the shipping dock and wait for them to load me up, then bring it home and unload it myself?

I like "Free Shipping", but as everyone knows that there is no free lunch, the cost has to be covered someplace. Perhaps the term "Shipping Included" would fit better?

The pricing by zones seems very fair though. I wouldn't want to pay the same (shipping included) cost as someone on the West Coast, nor would they expect me to. Thanks Ken, for thinking this thing through, considering all sides.

$1855 to a truck terminal near you or a non farm commercial business closer to you. Add $50 for farm delivery is correct. Ken Sweet

Thanks, I try to sell products just like I would like to buy them. It is a little tougher pricing by Zones the way we do, however, it seems the only fair way to price our products all across the nation without having to email or call or text us. Most of our customers are business professionals and time saved shopping, equals dollars saved to them. Ken Sweet

I agree, I like you pricing scheme.

But that could be because I am in zone 1 ;)
