I brought the 1500 Home today as i want to do a few things to it that i cant do at the block we have.i wanted to put a larger battery in it so a bit of a cut out was required, put my gauges and whatnot in it.but when i started to dismantle things most of the bolts are loose or the nuts have fallen off. the only thing left holding the fuel tank in was the bonnet!! all the nuts had fallen off the strap bolts. the bonnet hinge lock nuts, one was missing and the other is just sitting there. the wheel nuts i could undo by hand and all the loader bolts into its chassis are loose. might explain the oil around all the sump plate bolts! so after i fit all the new bits i will run over it with a spanner and the rattle gun! so anyone else that has recently bought an import may want to throw a spanner over theirs.

you didn't say where you purchased from ,a individual or a dealer? and did you not inspect the machine before you purchased?

I bought it from a dealer in another state. yes i guess they should have run over it to check these things but that obviously doesnt happen. when it was reassembled in Vn ( guessing) they didnt tighten things up too well. no major hassle really but it is something so simple that it should not have been ( loose bolts everywhere ) as the rest of the tractor is great, i guess if that is all i have to complain about i am doing well !! even if i inspected it i would not have taken a spanner with me to check that so that would not have been detected untill something fell off.

That is actually a pretty common trait of the Vn rebuilds. Mine had lots of loose bolts.

i went over the loader today-every single bolt was loose. some of the bracketry didnt even fit properly.cut n shut some of them, bit more of a bend and now its solid. i need to go to the bolt bar and buy a few more as some of them are not there, where it bolts to the chassis.when i get a minute i will also make a brace to go between the lower loader plate and the diff.

The hardness of all those new shiny gold colored bolts is suspect too. It is not too difficult to pull the treads on them. They feel "soft" when you tighten them down.
