This is where I practice my handgun skills. The plate rack is resettable by pulling a cable. The shooter stands on a gravel pad, so brass is easy to recover. The pistol is my little Ruger 22/45. My favorite, due to price of ammo. Please share your photos. I'm always looking for new ideas.
Sweet range, too bad you aren't closer I'd come visit ! I was thinking about getting the 22/45 , or the .22 conversion for my .40 Glock. Nice job with the range !
Thanks, guest shooters are always welcome. I didn't expect to like the 22/45 that much, but it has really grown on me. Most conversions seem to cost more than that little Ruger. I think I gave $225 for it. Highly recommended for cheap shooting.
Lots of people seem pleased with the 22/45, going to have to keep an eye out for one ! Good friend of mine moved your way, Benton I think. Guess he got his fill of snow !
:laughing:The .22 is not my only weapon. I just put fresh paint on all of the plates before I snapped the picture. I almost pasted a new target on that frame. I didn't think you guys would look that close.
Lately I shoot golf balls a lot with my .22 scope pistol, lot of fun and great practice. Alone in a safe area I just chase the golf ball around with bullets, it can take amazing level of abuse.
We have considered drilling a hole in golf balls and hanging them with a small wire or cable. Similar to the spinners on the left. Approx how many rounds will they absorb? Billiard balls will take .22s all day, but one .357 and they go all to pieces.
