It's a Land Pride SGC 1560 - 820#. Designed and built for primary use on a skid steer. I mainly lift uber heavy rocks and chunks of pine tree trunk. Never lift anything really heavy very high. Staying low with a load - I can easily lift/move 3000 pounds.

Everybody's shops are so clean. Mine - covered with sawdust most everywhere. One of these days - I'll vacuum.

Around here there is alway the problem with mice and Hantavirus. It is normally a deadly virus - take care with your dust in your shop.

Yes, I hate to stir up any dust indoors as a result of hantavirus. For some reason, I'm just not a fan of diseases that aren't curable.

Short story. Moss mentions a man getting his hand wrapped up in a drill press. Worked for a company where we used LARGE magnetic based Milwaukee drills. We were cautioned - NEVER wear gloves when using these large drills.

So .... some young smart-a**ed dude knew better. Wore his fancy gloves and got his hand wrapped up around the chuck. You could hear his screams over the entire shop.

Another dude - who was even wiser - knew exactly how to extract the hand and glove. Put the drill in reverse and hit the trigger. Of course, the hand/glove simply wrapped up the other way. Fortunately - the guy passed out. Paramedics were able to administer some type of pain relief.

The hand was never the same.

I know what you mean about keeping the shop clean. I would have to move everything in my shop just to clean anything but the open bays. I do have messy equipment on rollers, and a concrete apron outside, so if I use a cutoff wheel I roll it outside and spew the countryside instead of the interior, but I'm lazy and don't move the band saw.
