Mahindra 6075
I recently purchased a new Mahindra 6075 with a front end loader. The curl part will leak down in a few days with a hay spear attached, so when I started the hay spear at 3:00 over a few days it drops down to about 4:30 (clock as reference). No fluid is leaking out. I've only had it for a month and about 25 hours currently.
My old tractor was a 10 year old Kubota M7040 and after 10 years and 2700 hours there were no leak downs anywhere. What I'm trying to figure out is whether I just had an exceptional tractor or if the dealer is just trying to get me to go away complaining about the leak down as he says all hydaulics leak down over a few days. I know sometimes there is a tolerance for new equipment if anyone knows it would be appreciated. I realize you shouldn't leave the hydaulics unsupported but sometimes I leave it with a light weight such as a hayspear to see if I'm having any issues and obviously it helped me discover this one. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks;

Yes, leakdown is normal, and yours sounds better than average - tractor
hydraulics aren't built to the same standards as industrial equipment, like
forklifts, skid steers, etc

Leak down is normal, some worse than others. When the timeframe is over a couple days I wouldn’t worry about it. If it was leaking a noticeable amount in an hour that might be cause for concern.

The Kubota was abnormal.

What I go by is, does it hinder normal operation of the machine? If not, why worry about it?

Kubota has some very good loader valves, the remote valves is a different story. I have 3 Kubota's and none of the loader valves leak down.

Proper operation suggests all attachments are lowered to the ground or transport locks engaged when the equipment is parked.
Your cylinder drift is well within any published tolerance you will find.

Thanks to all for the feedback. Good to know it's typical.

i stick my spear in the ground for two reasons. one is for safety so animals dont hit it and two is to take the load off the hydraulics.

My grapple will drop from 3 'o clock to the ground in about three to four weeks. However - I always drop the grapple & rear blade to the ground when parked in the carport. Safety and take pressure off the hydraulic system.
