SHOULD I BUY A TC30

   / SHOULD I BUY A TC30 #11
Same tractor essentially as the 1715 and 1720. Great tractors with lots of historical loader usage. If the price is right, I'd go for it.

When I had my 1720, I'd use the glow/plug preheat about the same as with my current TC40D. Once in warm (yes, even 4th of July) weather (unless the engine's already warm) and a couple of cycles in cold weather. On the 1720, and maybe (but I don't kow for sure on the TC30) the plugs continued to glow as long as you held the key over, even after the glow-plug light went out.

I purchased my TC30 9x3 FWD new in 2005 with the 7308 front loader and 6' rear scraper box. It just turned 400 hrs. and has been a great tractor, primarily used to move manure, crushed asphalt and dirt. It gets used to pull a heavy disc in an arena as well as general cleanup around the property. To date, I have had no problems other than a bad spool valve (non-warranty).
