Should I downsize to a JD 110

Currently I have a '96 Ford 545D industrial loader with 3pth and Bradco 611 backhoe. I am thinking of downsizing to a '05 JD 110 TLB with 650 hrs. Mainly because it is a pain to move the Ford around at 12-13K lbs. They are basically the same style machine just a big difference in specs. I mainly do odd jobs like dig stumps, clean/install drains, snow plowing, bush hogging, driveway repair, small foundations, etc..

Opinions please!!!

I bought the 110 for the very reason you mentioned (transport size) and have been very satisfied with it. Bought new in 05 with a Laurin cab.

Another one slightly larger to consider is the Kubota M 59, another good unit.

Do you think the 110 is transportable on a 5 ton trailer?

I do believe you find others here that haul a 110TLB on a 10K trail without issue. I use a 12K trail to haul my L39 which is very similar to the 110TLB. I haul a couple of buckets, fork lift and box blade along with the tractor which has loaded tires.

I traded down from an older larger machine to the L39. I like the maneuverability of the L39 but there are times when I miss the longer reach and extra power of the older machine. Just something to keep in mind.

Supposed to be according to Deere, I prefer the 12,000 lb trailer so I can haul extra forks, rockbucket, or boxblade.

The 110 with backhoe is 7600 lbs, the 110 with BB1284 boxblade is 7200 lbs.
A typical pull type pipe trailer 10k capacity weighs about 2350 to 2650 this is doable but too close for me.

If you know your trailer weight you can decide for yourself, need at least an 18' floor though.
