For the last few months, I have been using a BCS 712 that a friend owns but now it's no longer available. I have a 50x100 garden in urban Portland Oregon with lots of crops that need cultivation and beds that need tilling, like, yesterday.
So I'm in a bit of a bind that I need a tiller for this season, but I cannot bring myself to buy anything less than a BCS.
I tried a terrible older TB Pony and immediately gave up. A sharp hoe is more enjoyable than that piece of crap.
What other brands/models would be acceptable? I have some ground that is still "unclaimed": weeds 5 feet tall, semi-compacted dirt. There are lots of rocks and occasionally large pieces of metal and concrete since the garden used to be a junk pile. I want to use the machine for tilling and between-row cultivation.
I've tried Craigslist for BCS, but it's hard to find.
Should I stoop to a T-B Horse or Big Red? What about Honda FR800? What about newer Ariens?
