This might be a little odd, me asking this question, since im a sales manager at a dealership, bit i am wondering what you guys thing of your XUV's. I love my HPX, and we've had a few problems out of the gas XUV's. Where I need soem guidance is on the performance aspects of the two. My HPX will go anywhere, and is very stable on hilly ground. Just wanting a little insight from you guys that've had em both. Thanks.

i don't have one but from the reading i have been doin i would wait for the 08 xuv's and see if they work out the bugs . as for as trading the hpx why do you want to trade? you being a sales manager you should have a pretty good insight as to whats ging on with the xuv's i would ask the sales men too what the customers are saying about them and go into the service department and checkout the service work that has been done on the units sold already you can do that being your a sales manager .

Yea I have done that. And our guys locally are happy with the XUV's. I was just toying with the though of trading. Most of our customers dont use them for the recreational aspect as much as I do, and I figured someone here might have had them both and could compare. Plus we've sold 12 Diesel XUV's to 4 Gas ones, and I want a gas one for one reason- Clutch Enclosure.

I started with the CX when it came out. I traded it for an 05 HPX, then I traded that a year later for an 06 Hpx. You guessed it, I now have the XUV. They finally got it right. I have the gas model and the dealer took care of the front differential adjustment which was making noise. It is as stable as the HPX and will go anywhere. The ride itself is worth the trade. Do it.

I agree 100%. The ppl that don't own an xuv don't know what they are missing.
I enjoyed my hpx. But after owning an xuv I would never go back.
HPX rides like a log truck compared to the XUV.

I have the gas xuv, but if I didn't need the clutch enclosure I would get the diesel.

Trade trade trade. Some keep waiting for the so called kinks to get worked out when there isn't any.
None of the driveline components on the xuv are new to deere. Its the suspension that changed the most.
Deere listened to what customers wanted and they made the xuv.

You can keep waiting like some do or you can have fun now.. :)
This is my 3rd gator and I never look back~!

I want a bench seat too. I would like to see someone make some type of kit to convert. It wouldn't be that hard to do- I want to change my shifter and differential lock to electric using an actuator anyways, so that would eliminate the levers, and I'm sure something could be done to move the park brake, the center console might make it not comfy for the middle rider, but the lab would like it.

Just curious - why do you want a bench seat?

hpxdeeredealer,

I like the clutch enclosure also. I also understand the thoughts about the gasoline machine, but I can say without any doubt, my diesel XUV performs circles around the gas one I had. If their is any way you could get by without a clutch enclosure and spring for the diesel, I would. It truly performs that much better than the gas, and I have had and used both in a pretty challenging environment.

If he's using it for recreation I think the gas would be the way to go. I've owned 2 diesel gators and love em to death but not having a enclosure is a big down fall. Of course you can still go a lot of places a gas can but you could do it so much better with a gas.
