should there be play?

I went over to new holland today to pick-up some hydro fluid. I was checking the tractors out when I noticed that the loader didn't have any play in it while rocking it side to side. Mine does. Is this normal? Oh, by the way, I went because my tractor is leaking some fluid (very tiny amount) by the front axle, near the vent, not sure if it's leaking from there but its wet from there to the point it drips off. I just got the tractor Monday. 200 hrs still under warrenty
