I'm a tad different...I dug 2 post holes in the corner of the pole shed (with the PHD), put 2 cedar posts in (about 6ft tall) and about 6ft between them, backed the tractor/PHD between them and raised it to its highest point (so the auger point is at least 6 inches off the floor (dirt floor of course)//ran a string across between the posts where the arc of the PHD is the highest/marked the posts....moved the PHD out and cut the posts at the top at a 45 degree angle (toward the tractor), drilled a hole at an opposite 45 degree angle (not all the way thru the posts thought), just below the lower part of the cut... turned in two 8 to 10 inch lag bolts (1/2 to 5/8" lags) creating a "V", simply put a steel 2 inch tube between the Vs (back the tractor between the posts with the PHD at its highest, place the tube under the PHD arc, lower the PHD onto the tube. unhook the PHD... and you have it...it balances quite well this way and you can easily hook it back up in a couple of minutes..Wheww...explaining this took as much time as building it...BobG in VA
