I've wrestled this old relic on Kubota by myself & it wasn't pretty! Show me how you store yours...... I've seen a couple You Tube videos of some pretty clever set ups that appear to be home made..... Does anybody sell such a thing?

I assume by "PD" you mean posthole digger (AKA PhD*)?

I use mine infrequently so I take it apart to store it. I take the auger off and separate the PTO shaft and drivebox from the arch. It's three bolts. Then I have three pieces that I can carry by myself and they all lie flat. I just stack them in the corner of the garage.

(* I like to tell people I have three PhD's. When they ask me what they're in, I tell them the two hand ones are in the tool shed and the 3pt one is in the tractor shed.)

I just auger into the ground about a foot and disconnect.

I take mine apart to store it indoors, just like quicksandfarmer does.

I'm a tad different...I dug 2 post holes in the corner of the pole shed (with the PHD), put 2 cedar posts in (about 6ft tall) and about 6ft between them, backed the tractor/PHD between them and raised it to its highest point (so the auger point is at least 6 inches off the floor (dirt floor of course)//ran a string across between the posts where the arc of the PHD is the highest/marked the posts....moved the PHD out and cut the posts at the top at a 45 degree angle (toward the tractor), drilled a hole at an opposite 45 degree angle (not all the way thru the posts thought), just below the lower part of the cut... turned in two 8 to 10 inch lag bolts (1/2 to 5/8" lags) creating a "V", simply put a steel 2 inch tube between the Vs (back the tractor between the posts with the PHD at its highest, place the tube under the PHD arc, lower the PHD onto the tube. unhook the PHD... and you have it...it balances quite well this way and you can easily hook it back up in a couple of minutes..Wheww...explaining this took as much time as building it...BobG in VA
