How much fuel does an idling diesel consume?
I use to let my 7.3L Ford idle all afternoon for a.c, My 2.0LVW uses < 0.1gph and if it's really cold won't even keep the engine warm
And why is this thread in Kioti Buying/Pricing?

Well here in Quebec we have an 'idle law' !

A fine is levied if you idle more than 15 mins.
This law does not apply to police, emercency vehicles and public works vehicles.
Not a cash grab as it is for the environment protection. (anti smog).

But do not inhale when you pass dunkin donuts parking lots.

I'd think this would be hard to enforce.
For one thing who's doing the timing?
Who's running all over the country checking/looking for tractors setting around idleing?

Isn't it obvious: because we are discussing fuel use, air conditioning, oil circulation, weather, environment, battery life, coffee breaks, safety, idle laws, Fords, VW, Kubotas, UPS, police, long haul truckers and Dunkin' Donuts.

Each of these factors is important to consider when buying or pricing a Kioti tractor.

Any more dumb questions?
