This link gives you the flyover times for the shuttle and international space station.
Human Space Flight (HSF) - Orbital Tracking
Last night we got to see both. It was a perfectly clear night. The shuttle went over right on schedule at 5:03 PM. It looked like a very bright very fast moving star.
At 5:13 PM the ISS zoomed into view. It was not as bright as the shuttle but was easy to see. I have a decent set of binoculars but they did not offer much more. I believe the shuttle and ISS would be moving to fast to use a telescope.
Tonight it is raining in NH so we did not get to see them. It was a neat experience and we were lucky to see both so close together and both relatively high in the sky.
