shuttle shift handle droop

Hello friends and neighbors,
I have a 4530 Mahindra w/shuttle shift. all is well now.
Lately I have noticed the schuttle shift level droops back toward the neutral position while driving.
Any expert mechanics out there know if this is a potential sign of problems?
Any experience with this or do I worry too much?

When you shift it back to neutral do you feel a definate shift out of gear? I would follow the shuttle shift linkage and see if you find some slop in some of the joints.

not much when dropping back from fwd. there is a good shift into rvrse and return to neutral. however when shifting to fwd; not much.
