Sickle Bar Sickle bar mower for a Kubota 3010

I would like to find a sickle bar mower for my 3010 Kubota. I'm guessing that a 5 to 6 ft sickle bar would be the right size based on HP at the pto. I have come across a few John Deere 350 sickle bars that are 7 ft and the suggested minimum hp is 30 or 35. I told the John Deere dealer that I intend to use it only to mow down the grasses around several ponds that I have and he thought it would work. Any thoughts? Are there models that I should stay away from. I'm looking at used sickle bar mowers and where can I find a good used one.

I have an L3010 DT (Gear Tranny) and a 7' First Choice sickle bar mower. The L3010 handles it fine. Absolutely no lack of power problems and I cut some pretty thick grass/goldenrod/milkweed fields and roadside brush that I only mow once a year in the fall. I bought it new from Ken Sweet about 10 years ago. Other than a few broken teeth from trying to mow rocks I have had no trouble with it at all.

Edit: My manual says 26 hp required.
