Just dumped my tiller for the season and attached the bush hog on my JD4400. Now the hog is significantly higher on the right side. I'm stumped.

There is an adjustment bar attached to the lift arm on the right side most likely a screw type. You can adjust that side to be level with the left arm.

Adjust your 3ph lift arms.

The bush hog was crooked laying on the ground when I attached it. Could it be that the hydraulic arm just picked it up from there? Perhaps I need to put it on level ground and reattach from level? It was level last season and I wonder why it isn't this season.

It's probably not level because the 3pt arm that has the adjusting screw moved do you. Do what KYDan said and adjust the screw on the 3pt arm until it is level.

Do you have a hydraulic side link?

The side links are the only thing that control if the attachment is level.
